Andersen winches are not only beautifully designed but also technically outstanding. Developed using state-of-the-art manufacturing techniques that have been carefully refined for more than 60 years, every Andersen winch represents the highest level of elegance, reliability, and long-term value.
What makes Andersen winches so special is their stainless-steel surface, which is virtually wear-free and still looks like new even after decades of use. Other winch drums require re-anodizing or re-chroming after only a few years. Another key advantage of Andersen winches is their low weight compared to products from other manufacturers. The base and gear components are made from high-quality aluminum bronze, a material with significantly higher strength than the bronze commonly used in marine applications. Bearings, shafts, and pawls are all made from stainless steel.
All Andersen winches feature the proven Power Ribs, allowing sheets to be eased in a controlled and material-friendly manner as they slide over the drum. The manufacturing process developed by Andersen is currently exclusive to Andersen in Vejle, Denmark.
